Vintage Decor Challenge - The Contenders

Yesterday was a pretty exciting day as we announced the winner of the Decor Challenge at Vintage Wedding Showcase. Sharon Auld of Naturally Chic was the overall winner with her "Mad men" themed tabletop. Today we're going to show you her competitors. Each of these talented Wedding Designers planned their table around a vintage movie/show theme and wow, did they pull out all of the stops.

First up, we have Lisa from WE CONNECT with Casablanca. Can't you just see Humphrey Bogart with his cigar, sitting up to that table, listening to Sam at the keys? We loved the pops of red too.

Next we have Cathy from Creative Weddings with Breakfast at Tiffany's. To me the whole table was a reflection of the iconic, black dress worn by the great Audrey Hepburn. Don't you love the pearls draped down the back of the chair? Breathtaking Cathy!

We admit it, we're in Downton withdrawal! What fun to have a little dose of Downton Abbey while we await the next season. Alway's Alexandra's Weddings gave us a healthy dose of English elegance that even the Dowager Countess would have approved of.

Callandra from Cherry Tree Occasions brought the sparkle and glamour of the 1920's with The Great Gatsby. We can't wait to see the remake now that Callandra has us in the mood. Charleston anyone?

Jasmine from Reflections Weddings took us "off to see the Wizard"! Jasmine didn't miss a beat with her Wizard of Oz themed display. It included everything from Dorothy's gingham dress, to a pair of ruby slippers and even her "little dog too"! It was a feast of colour and imagination!

Aren't they all amazing? So many people commented that as they looked around the hall, they felt that they had been transported back in time. Thank you to everyone that participated in the challenge.

We had to include a shot of Betty Draper's bar cart from Naturally Chic's Mad Men display along with our winner, Sharon. Pop over for one last peek. Congratulations!
